Just got my Powercolor HD 4770 finally, reasons why I got Powercolor and not XFX are stated within the video. I will be making a formal review later on. Has a 2 year warranty, a bunch of games, and a $10 USD mail in rebate.

Yes your correct, Windows 7 will use DX11. DX10 never really boomed, Crysis and other games are the only real reason gamers use Vista.
But yet again, if you wait for everything you’ll never buy anything.

You’ll prolly need windows 7 to use DX11 just like how u needed vista for DX10. If you want to wait for DX11, it doesnt make sense to upgrade now.

What you could do …
What you could do is to buy a 4770 card….
Its a good card, without a doubt.
Once 5800 comes out, you can then sell the 4770 and purchase 5800, if you want it so much.
That way you can get the best of both worlds.

Well the DX11 cards …
Well the DX11 cards are supposed to be coming out in between this fall and winter when Windows 7 comes out publicly. Your decision makes sense.

It will play most …
It will play most to all games maxed out. Crysis you could run on High with some AA or Highest with none, also depends on the size of your monitor.
I have a 19″ 1600×1200 monitor and I can play tons of games fine including, GRID, CoD4/5, CS:S, CoH, and even Fallout 3 all maxed and more.
