I’m speaking as …
I’m speaking as apposed to “non-linear video editing”.
I don’t have to trust you, I know. I think using something like WMM or iMovie06, to do a quick little video, or even edit compressed video, is less trouble than starting an adobe file.

Yeah that sounds …
Yeah that sounds like a very good deal. I’m not paying $1,800 again for a stupid laptop that lasted 4 years. Neither do I have the money for that much right now. Thanks. =)

All computer …
All computer programs are nonliner (NLE). Linear is A/B editing from deck to deck. It sucks trust me on that. I did it from1994-97 until we got our Avid system.

Yes, I know. I was …
Yes, I know. I was only expressing my feelings about the Mac. iMovie 06, in comparison, was pretty useful.
I do use Premiere, but if I were to go with a linear editor, I’d rather use iMovie 06 over Win Movie maker.

MRCAB,
Movie …
MRCAB,
Movie Maker is not suposed to be a highend video editing solution.
How much video editing do you do? Have you tried Premiere Pro or Edius?

If you use …
If you use PhotoShop make sure the laptop has a dedicated graphics card as opposed to an integrated graphics card. I prefere Windows myself because I have more options with that OS. At Best Buy they had a $650.00 Asus with an Nvida 9300. It is about the least expensive laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Thats what I would get but everyones needs are different.

If I had a Mac, I …
If I had a Mac, I would only use it for video editing. Yeah.. the one in XP sucks.

lol, still can’t get rid of that ringing noise in the background eh?

lawl, Mac is the …
The new iMac comes with a keyboard and mighty mouse and Mac OS X Leopard preinstalled!
lawl, Mac is the best! Get one

As far as your Dell …
As far as your Dell not video editing well there is a good reason. Since Macs are EXTREMELY proprietary mac software is threaded for those computers (If you know what that means) so it will run optimally on those computers. Since Windows is diverse and many types of configurations the software is broader and will run better on other computers. Even the new iMacs can’t do NEAR the amount of video editing and encoding that a PC can for the same price. So pretty much what I’m saying is Macs sucks.

Hay Candice I …
Hay Candice I totally know what you are talking about, I have been hooked in by Apple totally, if you look at my setup video you will see how bad I have been sucked in by it. However I am happy to have been caught up in it all as I to was once a PC user and my PC using life was littered with problem after problem. My very first Apple product was an iBook G3 which I still have and I love it. I had always wanted an iPod but could never afford one, now we have 6 in our family home lol. Take care

I do video editing …
I do video editing myself. You can click on my name and see me video samples. I have used Final Cut Pro, Premiere and Avid. I find Premiere on the PC to be the best option. The titler of FCP is about useless in my opinion but to each his own.

Thats cool, sounds …
Thats cool, sounds like basic stuff. Either could work, photoshop is available on both OS’s. I’d suggest a mac simply because I use one and its great, but what’s your price range? Cheapest mac laptop is $1000, ($1300 for the unibody)

For me, it’s just …
For me, it’s just common things, like MySpace’ing 24/7. But I do use A LOT of PhotoShop, and I know that at least on this computer makes my computer wayyyy slow. Other things are like AIM,YAHOO,MSN running at the same time. That’s basically all I do. This new harddrive I just put in here in June is 350GB and I only have 223GB left, if that sounds right. Oh and I also Have LimeWire on here, and I download Music and Videos A LOT.

Same here, kind of. …
Same here, kind of. I refused to buy an iPod for years, bought RCA, the cube, anything that wouldn’t have me conforming to the public addiction to iPod. Then I went to college where half the students own macs. I used a couple did some research and became addicted. My HP later died which further encouraged me to buy a mac. So I got my mac before I got my iPod.

Honestly it depends …
Honestly it depends on what exactly you do, your hardware needs, and your budget. The answers to these questions will help. Also, keep in mind that the mac can run Mac OS and Windows.
I just went from pc to mac last october so hit me up if u have ne questions.

I was the exact …
I was the exact same as you. Until i got my first ipod i never even knew apple existed! Even though i was young i got more and more into computers and then got my mac! Good video! I also feel the halo effect for fashion brands!
