Can my PS3 use the internet connection of my PC home unit?

July 28th, 2010 by admin

Can my PS3 unit steal internet from my desktop without having to use the cable company’s internet cable going into my current PC.
I would like to know if i can do some kind of wireless set up!

your ps3 is wifi ready so if you have a wireless router at home like I do, 99% of your work is done already!

alternatively, you could install a wifi card in your PC and enable the internet connexion sharing on your pc.

Why my PC unit keeps on re-booting everytime I attempt to make free download from the web?

July 18th, 2010 by admin

I just had my PC re-format because it was bugged down by spyware virus, since then everytime I attempt to make a free download from the web my unit keeps on re-starting. Why this is keeps on happening?

Download Norton, AVG , Avast which are free antivirus software. They do protect your computer and you can keep updating them once in three days or so. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

Does any body know of PC Games where you can design your units?

July 7th, 2010 by admin

For eg. in the game earth 2060, you can design a unit by using in game weapons. We can try different combination of weapons on a vehicle.Like a plasma cannon and a fast engine to make a speedster.then using the same body, instead of using a plasma cannon use a chain gun.

Spore, although it was a lot less fun than I expected. It still is kind of fun just to make stuff though. Apparently Fallout:New Vegas will have very customizable weapons.

My warehouse staff currently operates on 6 units PC for items data entry. All PCs are 10 yrs old. Problems we?

June 29th, 2010 by admin

encountered are mostly a.Sudden blackout ( stop ) b.Hanged c. Figures inaccuracies d.Unprintable. Is changing a new PC is the ONLY answer ?

"All PCs are 10 yrs old"

They are 5 years past their expiration date. Of course you’re having problems. As programs are updated and improved, they require more advanced technology.

You can, however, restructure your network by investing in a server system and using Citrix, a terminal services based system. With Citrix, the user logs into the server from the local terminal and runs the programs from the server, not the local machine. Since the local machine is only used for video display & keyboard/mouse input, you can use older. slower machines. And upgrading the programs is easier (and less time consuming) because you only do it on the server.

This link will help you find a qualified company in your area about Citrix.

How many units of food and clothing will the consumer buy if Pf=$1, Pc=$2, and I=$20?

May 20th, 2010 by admin

If price of food =$1, price of clothing =$2, and the consumer’s income =$20, what is the utility maximizing consumption choice? How many units of food and clothing will the consumer buy?

(the answer is - the consumer buys 12 units of food and 4 units of clothing)

how can you find this answer?

Tired, you must have been too tired when you posted this question. You failed to include the consumer’s utility function. Without it, you cannot determine how to maximize it.

The way to answer it: Use the utility function, and substitute the different possible combinations for spending the income. Whichever combination maximizes the utility function is the correct answer.

For example, the consumer can spend the $20 with 0 clothing and 20 food, 1 clothing and 18 food, 2 clothing and 16 food, etc. until you get to 10 clothinig and 0 food.

How many units of PCs does a licensed OS can install?

May 11th, 2010 by admin

I want to purchase a licensed OS, and want to install it in my 3 units PC, can it be possible?

It depends on the one you purchase.

To answer your question, there is a special 3 pack that Microsoft offers with Windows so technically, yes. You just need to buy the 3 pack (or 3x of the regular 1 time license but that will be more costly).

is it true, that a license operating system can be installed at three different pc units?

April 26th, 2010 by admin

i need another pc unit in my bedroon, do i have to buy another O.S.?

Just like the other posters mentioned, unless you have a volume license key or multi-computer key for MS Windows, you’ll need to have separate license keys.

Depending on your needs and what you intend to use the other computer for, you might be interested in trying out Linux which is free and comes in may different forms. One of the more beginner friendly distributions is Ubuntu Linux which can be found here: http://www.ubuntu.com/

If you are unsure about venturing into the unknown, you can try the LiveCD option first which allows you to run a full Linux OS demo from a CD and doesn’t require a commitment (i.e. installation to hard drive).

Even if you are not interested in switching from your current OS at this point in time, it’s always good to educate yourself on the alternatives that do exist to see if they could possibly meet your needs.

Good luck.
