I got Left 4 Dead for PC and I want to use my wireless Xbox 360 controllers to play, so I am going to get the wireless reciever (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5156486). I'm concerned though, because it says "will work with all future xbox accessories). My wireless controller came with the 360 when I got it near launch. Does that mean it won't work and i'll have to buy a newer controller?
All that means is they will make sure any X360 peripherals that come out are compatible. It will work with existing X360 controllers just fine.

I would like to be able to share with my current wireless network card (wifi) if this is possible. If not, how can I interface these two units? I have a Dell C600 laptop and I'm not sure if it is equipped with a paralell port.
Ok well the first thing that we need to know is if the two computers are connected together in any way. For example, are you sharing a high speed Internet connection? If yes, then you can get the two to talk to each other. Next step is to make sure that both computers are in the same "Workgroup" to do this, right click on the MY COMPUTER icon and then click on properties. Then goto the "COMPUTER NAME" tab. From the there, you need to make sure that the "workgroup" names are the same on each computer.
Next, you need to turn off the firewall on each computer. I will leave this part up to you, since there are sooo many different firewalls.
At this point you should be able to double click on the "My Network Places" icon and see the other computer.
Once you can see the other computer you will need to share a folder that has the data you need to share. To share a folder, navigate to the folder and right click on it. Click on "sharing and security". Follow the instruction on sharing the folder.
Now go back to the other computer and see if when you click on "My Network Places" if you see the shared folder.
Good luck.
