I have never built my own desktop before and do not have a ton of computer knowledge. However, my friend has built several computers but is currently unreachable and I just wanted a second opinion.

Network interface card- Is it necessary that I get a new NIC if the Mobo comes with onboard lan?

I just wanted to make sure all the parts are compatible with eachother, but with my limited knowledge, I don’t know everything to look for. I cannot afford a more expensive PSU, I am pretty set on the case and Graphics Card, and I really like Intel CPUs more. I figure with a quad core it’s more future proof too.

Also, my friend already has a PC tool kit, but do you believe that I will have to purchase any other wires? Every component is Retail, but should I upgrade cables for a lower-mid range gaming rig? Any other accessories I will need?

Okay so the PSU is fine for the Mobo just make sure it’s 24 pin since the Mobo is 24pin.
